odisha police si exams

There is an important update relating to Odisha Police SI exams 2026, candidates can now update their details. The window will be open from October 15 to October 29, 2026.

The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has asked all Odisha Police SI Exam 2024 applicants, including age-relaxation candidates, to update and validate their details online.

OUSSSC has opened an online window for candidates of the Combined Police Service Examination-2024 (CPSE-2024) for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts to update their credentials.

The Odisha Police SI exams 2026 is likely to be held in November. The process for the Odisha Police SI recruitment exam is likely to start again.

The notification related to the exam may come in the next 7 to 8 days. The aim is to complete the next stages quickly by conducting the written exam in November.

The admit card will be issued after verifying the details of the candidates. This time, the exam will be conducted on OMR sheet instead of online and the commission itself will conduct the exam instead of a third party organization.

Emphasis On Fair And Transparent Odisha Police SI Exams

But after the question paper leak and irregularities of the previous Odisha Police SI exams, this time it will be a major challenge   for OUSSSC to conduct the exam. It also has to maintain the credibility of the entire process.

In the previous exams, allegations of an organized network were raised regarding the question paper leak and the case went to the CBI for investigation.

Now OUSSSC is facing big challenges. Such as security of the question paper.  Then is to prevent brokers and organized rackets involving candidates, middlemen and people involved in the examination management.  Another is to properly verify the information of the candidates.

Since the examination has stopped for a long time reverification is required. The mobile numbers, e-mails and other information of the old candidates will be re-verified. Another big task is to ensure that there is no mistake in the information of thousands of candidates and that eligible candidates are not denied.

After the previous controversy, restoring the confidence of the candidates on the examination system is one of the biggest challenge

This time, the plan is to conduct the examination on OMR sheet and under the direct supervision of the commissioner. Transparency will be maintained to the utmost possible.

Completing the entire recruitment process in a short timespan is another challenge. Notification, verification of details, admit card, written test in November, results and physical test – all these stages have to be completed flawlessly in a very short time.

The Government aims of completing the process by December. Hence, balancing speed with transparency and security will be a big challenge for OUSSSC.
