Odisha Finance Department’s performance has been reviewed by the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lokseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has shared an update in this regard on their official X handle.
The X post in Odia roughly translates as, “(the) Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, while reviewing the Finance Department at Lokseva Bhawan, has given advice aimed at making the revenue collection system even more efficient.” The post has further added, “along with further increasing capital and program expenditures.”
Further, it is worth mentioning here that, as of July 2026, the state’s total revenue collection stood at Rs 61,593 crore, up 7.3% from the same period last year.
Programme expenditure rose 19.1%, while capital expenditure increased 20.2% to Rs 11,300 crore. It is worth mentioning here that, the CM stressed faster spending on infrastructure and development projects to achieve the goal of building a prosperous Odisha by 2036.
