Indian Navy Commissions INS Nipun

Indian Navy commissions INS Nipun, a deep sea diving vessel on August 31, 2026 that is Monday. Built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited, the vessel stands as a testament to India’s self-reliance in defence shipbuilding.

According to reliable reports, the second Diving Support Vessel, Nipun has been completely indigenously designed and built. It hs been commissioned into Indian Navy in the presence of the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Krishna Swaminathan in Mumbai.
