Independence Day preparations in Delhi underway in full swing, police has intensified security arrangements. Various sensitive places in the national capital is being manned.
Reports say that most borders along Delhi were sealed at 10 PM in view of Independence Day, and this measure will remain in effect until the program concludes. Temporary pickets have been set throughout the Capital city. This has been done in addition to the existing permanent ones.
The police is patrolling the area behind the Red Fort, specifically the Yamuna riverfront. The patrolling is being done round-the-clock. Both external forces and local staff have been pressed into action. Searches are being conducted across every area.
Regular checks are being done by the police, it is being assured that no unauthorized individuals are staying. Th police is verifying the credentials of anyone present.
Further, regular boat patrols are being conducted on the Yamuna waters and will continue until the security arrangements conclude on August 15. Police personnel are checking vehicles as security has been heightened across the national capital as a part of the Independence Day preparations in Delhi. Further detailed reports awaited.
