More than 20 buffaloes were swept away in the Mahanadi river near Cuttack in Odisha on Saturday. More than 20 buffaloes were swept away in the Mahanadi water near Gate No. 77, Anicut, Cuttack Jobra.

The buffalo herd was seen floating in the strong current of the Mahanadi. On receiving the news, the Cuttack Fire Brigade reached the spot and is trying to rescue the herd.
