Major flight disruption in Delhi Airport due to incessant rains and thunderstorms. It has been further reported that, several airlines have issued official caution notice on their websites and X handles.
Indigo issued an X post on its official handle that read, “Bad weather over Delhi has impacted flight schedules. We are closely monitoring the weather and doing our best to get you where you need to be, safely and smoothly.
If you’re travelling today, we recommend checking your flight status on our website or app before leaving for the airport. Please also allow for additional travel time, as road conditions may be slower than usual.
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding. Your comfort and safety remain our top priority.”
Akasa Air also took to X and wrote, “Travel Update: Due to severe weather conditions in Delhi certain flights across our network have been impacted.
We realize that this may inconvenience your travel plans and seek your patience and understanding. While this situation is completely beyond our control, please rest assured that our teams are always ready to assist you.
Please check the flight status before commencing your travel to the airport.”
In addition to the airline, the Airport Authority of India took to X and wrote, “Before you travel, stay informed about local weather conditions at your departure and arrival cities.”
