Fire in Amravati hospital

In a tragic incident, there has been a fire in Amravati hospital in which as many as three newborn babies have lost their lives.

According to reports, the blaze broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The incident happened in the District Women’s Hospital in Amravati district of Maharashtra.

According to preliminary information, the fire erupted at around 3:30 am on the third floor of the hospital. This reportedly happened due to an explosion in a ventilator inside the neonatal unit of the hospital.

The fire in Amravati hospital NICU spread rapidly, said reliable sources. Doctors, nurses, and other staff on duty immediately launched an evacuation operation. They managed to rescue several infants from the ward.

It has been reported here that, as many as six infants have been shifted to the Super Speciality Hospital nearby for further treatment. This is a developing story, further detailed report in this matter is awaited.
