All the puja committees have been clearly instructed that there is a ban on DJ vehicles. Ban on DJ in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack during Durga idol immersion.
If anybody uses DJ vehicles, there will be a criminal case that will be registered on the vehicle owner and the organiser. This has been clearly circulated to all the Inspector In charges and Zonal ACPs.
Multiple meetings have been conducted with the organisers and this has been insisted in that meeting as well that if any DJ comes in the procession, criminal case will definitely be registered. Ban on DJ in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to be strictly enforced.
There are 6 immersion areas, mainly in the BMC, and also the rural areas – arrangements have been made for that. All exigencies, special rescue units for any crowd exigencies and crane lighting arrangements because the immersion will continue through the night. So, all arrangements have been made. With the public’s cooperation, we will be smooth.”
There are a total of 9 locations where Ravan Podi has been planned. Arrangement has been made, and senior officers have been made responsible for each location. For every Ravan Podi, there is a 100-metre minimum restriction from the no man’s zone till the nearest point where the crowd can stand and witness.
Every location will have a fire tender and also a special rescue units that are abreast with crowd control and also rescuing any emergency situation that happens due to crowd as such. Based on the requirement, force has been deployed and mobilised for each location.
