Loot in Nayagarh district of Odisha has been reported, gold and silver has been taken away from a school teacher’s house. Money, gold and silver jewellery has been looted by breaking open the almirah in side the house.

According to reports, the theft occurred in Ragdisahi village of Kardapada Panchayat, under Gania police station limits in Nayagarh district.

The investigation has been started by the police in this regard. A teacher from Ragdisahi village, was sleeping in his house, when all of a sudden he woke up and wanted to go out. he found the room to be locked from outside. So he immediately alerted his neighbours. They came and opened the latch and alerted the police.

However when he went to room house near the bedroom, he found that the cupboard had been broken and all the furniture had been scattered and was lying around. He complained that money, 100 grams of gold and 1,000 grams of silver stored inside the cupboard had been looted.

Further, the Gania police reached the house and are investigating using sniffer dogs. Further details awaited in this regard.
