A 12-hour bandh in Angul is being observed. The bandh shall be applicable from 6 am to 6 pm on Wednesday. As a result, vehicles found stuck at various places on the roads.

According to information available, the Congress party has called the bandh to protest over several issues. The issues include rising pollution levels, poor road conditions, increasing road accidents. The matters of lack of law and order enforcement, problems associated with the transportation of coal and other materials has also been raised.

The bandh has affected daily life in the district. People have been affected by the 12-hour bandh in Angul of Odisha, vehicular movement has been affected badly across the district. Traffic snarls and jams were seen across the city of Angul.

The bandh has also affected bus services and transportation. Shops and markets have been closed down causing disruption in daily activities.

Further, police forces have been deployed at several locations across various parts of Angul. Security personnel have been deployed. Protesters have been urged to maintain law and order during the Angul bandh.
