There has been a hit and run in Bhubaneswar in one of the most secure places in the city. A bus has reportedly rammed into a bike right in front of the Odisha Assembly. The most shocking part is that the driver managed to escape!
According to reports, a tourist bus that came from Puri for the darshan of Lord Lingaraj and was returning to Kolkata when the hit and run in Bhubaneswar took place.
The accident occurred in one of the most secure locations of the Capital City. However, the driver and the 50 passengers in the bus managed to escape. The news has been confirmed by the eyewitnesses.
The road in which the accident took place has the residence of the Speaker of the Odisha Assembly and the Odisha Assembly. It is always well guarded by security personnel and the police. Yet, how the people managed to escape seems strange.
The bike rider is said to be a resident of Bhubaneswar. He was travelling for some personal work when he was hit by the speeding tourist bus. The man has been admitted to the Capital Hospital, his condition is said to be stable.
The police is searching for the whereabouts of the driver and the CCTV footage of the nearby area. Further details awaited.
