Curtains were drawn on the 10 day festivities in of Ganesh Puja as the famous Lalbaugcha Raja immersion was held today. The massive Ganesha idol draws huge crowds from all over the country. Most celebrities visit the Lalbaugcha Raja and seek his blessings.
The city of dreams Mumbai bid farewell to one of the most famous Ganesha that is the Lalbaugcha Raja. Thousands of devotees gathered for the grand visarjan of the Lord.
It is worth mentioning here that on September 12, this famous Ganesh made its first public appearance. The highly-popular Ganesh appeared in a Mahadev-inspired theme.
This massive Ganesha idol was adorned with a red-orange dhoti, gold jewelry, and symbolic trident, keeping in mind the Shiva theme. The pandal houses a massive Shivling modeled after Ujjain’s Mahakaal, reports said.
The expansive pandal also featured a towering Shiva figure. It is blended perfectly with Ganesh and Shiva motifs in red and gold.
Huge crowds gathered for darshan. However the rituals started from September 14 and continued till Anant Chaturdashi on September 25. The idol will be taken in a huge procession and immersed at the Girgaon Chowpatty.
It is worth mentioning that this was the 93rd year of the Ganesha. The setup draws lakhs for its artistic detail and has a strange spiritual draw. Celebrities and influencers flock to the Ganesh for a glimpse of him.
This year, the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Festival was celebrated from Ganesh Chaturthi that is Monday, 14 September 2026, to Anant Chaturdashi, Friday, 25 September 2026.
