Due to this adverse weather, the sea is very rough and turbulent. Heavy rains are continuing in coastal Odisha. The Puri administration has imposed restrictions on bathing in the sea.
Tourists and locals have been completely prohibited from entering the sea or bathing until the situation normalizes. Red warning flags have been put up in the dangerous areas of the beach.
Lifeguards and fire brigade teams are keeping a close watch on the beach. Police are using Public Address Systems to prevent people from entering the sea.
Due to the deep depression and effect of Cyclone Arnab Update, fishermen have been completely prohibited from entering the sea off the coast of Odisha and Puri. An emergency alert has been issued for this. The coastal district administration is using microphones to warn fishing villages.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has strictly instructed fishermen not to enter the sea or Chilika Lake until the weather normalizes.
