In a tragic incident there has been a drone strike in Russia and as many as seven people including three children have been killed on the spot. It has further been reported that several others have been injured in the incident.
The incident took place near a beachfront at a popular tourist destination Krasnodar near the Black Sea Coast. Three children were among the seven people who lost their lives in the tragic accident. It is worth mentioning here that in the drone strike in Russia as many as 40 people were injured.
According to BBC, “Some Ukrainian Telegram channels have claimed it crashed onto the beach as a result of electronic warfare which jammed the drone’s signal. Several eyewitnesses were quoted by Russian media as saying gunfire preceded the explosion, indicating that air defences may have tried to shoot the drone down”
The Russian authorities have blamed Ukraine for the attack. The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told the Russian official news agency TASS that, NATO and the European Union previously supported a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, but now they have become involved in international terrorist activities. She accused Western countries of supporting such activities.
