So the wait is finally over, iPhone 18 series sale starts in India today. Eager fans were seen standing in serpentine queues in front of almost all iPhone stores to lay their hands on the newly launched devices.
Unofficial reports say that iPhone 18 series sale has been a mega hit with as many as one lakh units being sold by the end of the first half of the day.
In most of the metro cities, the staff of the iPhone stores were seen holding a countdown and then opening the store doors. They were then seen standing at the doors, clapping and welcoming customers.
The visuals and photos of the crowd and the welcome of the customers has gone viral. The clips have been widely shared on almost all social media platforms.
Launch And Features
Apple recently unveiled iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo in a mega launch event at Apple Park. This was the first ever event under the new CEO John Ternus.
The iPhone 18 series comes with a A20 pro chip, upgraded cameras and up to 45-hour battery life. The Pro models come in Silver, Blue, Black and the new Burgundy finishes.
The devices are said to be up to 20% faster CPU and 40% better graphics performance. Experts say that the Apple Intelligence gets improved with the new Siri, Safari and Shortcuts capabilities.
The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3 inch display and there is a 6.9-inch display on the 18 Pro Max. The updated design can show up to 3 live activities simultaneously.
The camera has also got an update, that is the 48 MP main + 48 MP ultrawide + 48 MP 2x telephoto cameras. Variable aperture and AI-powered Smart Focus Tracking for video make the camera worth the price.
There is up to 36 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro and 45 hours on video playback on the Pro Max model. Around 50% battery gets charged in approximately 15 minutes. Both models feature Apple’s new C2 in-house modem and improved heat management.
Both the models went on sale in India from September 18. iPhone 18 Pro Price in India for 256 GB is Rs. 1,64,900, for the 512 GB it is Rs. 1,89,900, for the 1 TB it is Rs. 2,39,900 and Rs. 3,14,900 will be the price for the 2 TB model.
