Lightning strike in Keonjhar district of Odisha has led to the death of two people. According to reports a woman from Kantipal village in Anandpur area of Keonjhar and a youth from Padmapur village died.
Reports further say that, the youth killed was a student of Anandpur Municipality College from Padmapur village. He was killed in a lightning strike while he was going to his farm. He was rescued from the spot and admitted to Anandpur Medical College, where the doctor declared him dead.
Similarly, the woman who was killed in the lightning strike in Keonjhar was of Kantipal village. She became unconscious after being struck by lightning while cooking at home. She was also immediately admitted to Anandpur Medical College by her family. The doctor declared her dead.
An atmosphere of mourning has been created in Anandpur area after two lives were lost in multiple lightning strikes.
