President to travel by train

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu will be travelling by train in Odisha for the first time ever. The ‘President Special’ train has been brought especially from Delhi for the journey of the President. The train journey will start from the Bhubaneswar railway station and will end at the Berhampur railway station. It will roughly take two and a half hours to reach from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur.

According to reports, special security arrangements have been made for the President for the train journey . Two separate trains have been brought to escort the ‘President Special’ train from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur. The ‘President Special’ train has ten bogies and is special in every sense.

The train has beautifully crafted wooden interiors. It is fully equipped with a bedroom, a dining hall, conference room and a bathroom. The train also has many other special facilities. The departure time from Bhubaneswar is at 9:00am and it will reach Berhampur at 11:20am.

Both the railway stations have been blocked for general public. No trains have been allowed on platform No. 1 and platform No.2 at the Bhubaneswar railway station. It is worth mentioning that all the railway crossings have been kept on high alert and security has been deployed at all points. After reaching Berhampur, the President will travel for 80 kms by road to Taptapani and offer prayers, perform darshan and aarti at Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and Shiva Temple at Taptapani.

She is then scheduled to rest at Panthaniwas. Later in the day, she will travel to the Army camp where she will spend the night. And on August 5 she is scheduled to return back to Delhi marking an end to her three-day journey to her home State.
