A fire in MKCG college and hospital in Berhampur of Ganjam district in Odisha created a bit of panic. Reports say that the fire broke out in the department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The fire in MKCG College and Hospital in Berhampur broke out in the operating theatre. It is located on the second floor of the department of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
On receiving the information, the fire department immediately reached the spot and doused the fire.
The fire department official said that there has been no injuries but the fire safety system in many departments needs to be looked into. Meanwhile, the Principal and Superintendent of the hospital have visited the spot.
The cause of the fire in MKCG is yet to be ascertained, it is likely that there was some short circuit in the Air Conditioner (AC). An investigation is underway as to the cause. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
