The Tesla cybercab is here and it surely is the future of transport! It is safer, more enjoyable and gives you more time to sit back and relax.
The futuristic Tesla cybercab comes pre-fitted with theater, music and gaming apps on a 22 inch touchscreen. The Cybercab offers you a space to be productive or to unwind with ease. However, these cabs do not have a steering wheel.
Reports further say that, the car will soon be equipped with V5 Starlink hardware, for complete connectivity. The car is designed to be a great experience for every rider, even for those who are specially abled.
The Special Feature
The car comes enabled with FSD. So what is FSD? Under your supervision, Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) can drive your Tesla vehicle almost anywhere. It will make lane changes, select forks to follow your navigation route, navigate around other vehicles and objects and make left and right turns.
But is it worth noting that, none of these advanced driver assistance features make your Tesla vehicle fully autonomous or replace you as the driver. And the best part is that the ride will cost you almost half of an Uber.
The Expert’s Take On The Tesla Cybercab
An EV/Space/Tech enthusiast and expert Sawyer Merritt, has shared an X post on his first ride experience. He has written, “Tesla has officially started offering Cybercab rides to the public. I’ve been waiting years to say that!
I took one of the world’s first public rides. The cabin is comfortable and spacious, the suspension is soft, and FSD is VERY smooth. It’s an incredible vehicle. The screen is HUGE. The video doesn’t do it justice.
We can ride in the Cybercab anywhere in Tesla’s Austin service area, so the same areas as the Model Y Robotaxi. The Cybercab lives up to the hype. It will transform travel.”
Tesla has officially launched the Cybercab in Austin, Texas, in September 2026. But the launch comes with a limited public ride-hailing deployment. However for Tesla fans in India, the wait is set to be longer. The Company is yet to announce the official launch date of Cybercab in India.
