There has been a bus accident in Nayagarh district of Odisha. A private bus hit a tree near Bauanshiapada on Friday said reliable reports. The bus was coming from Bhubaneswar to Nayagarh.
According to reports, in the bus accident in Nayagarh one person has died and 25 have been critically injured. All seriously injured passengers have been admitted to Nayagarh Hospital and Medical College.
Reports said that, the driver of the bus has died. Further reports say that as many as eight of the critically injured have been shifted to Bhubaneswar. The private passenger bus lost control and hit a tree near Bauanshiapada while coming from Bhubaneswar to Nayagarh.
All the injured were taken to the hospital with the help of locals, police and fire department personnel. At the accident site, Nayagarh MLA and Nayagarh Collector rescued the passengers and sent them to Nayagarh District Heaquarter Hospital (DHH). The police are investigating into the cause of the accident.
