The capital city of Maharashtra is set to witness a sharp increase in the price of tabela (local) milk. The city milk producers have decided to increase the rates by Rs 9 per litre from September 1, 2026.
This meteoric is sure to burn a hole in the pocket of common households. Another thing that is worth mentioning is that the milk price rise comes just ahead of the festive season. The purchase of fresh dairy farm milk daily rises considerably during the festive season.
With the increase in the cost tabela milk which generally costs Rs 93 per litre will rise to Rs 102 per litre.
