Police checking in Bhubaneswar starts ahead of festive season to prevent illegal activities and drunken driving. Blocking and checking has been started a day before Rakhi Purnima, confirmed reports.
The objective of police checking in Bhubaneswar is to prevent drunken driving and accidents. The police have blocked and checked at various places in Bhubaneswar since late evening and at night.
Reports further added that, the 200 newly recruited SIs have been deployed for this. Blocks and checks have been carried out at various sensitive places in the city. The focus is on preventing anti-social elements and activities at night.
The main focus is on preventing accidents due to drunk driving. In this regard, checks have been carried out at 30 locations across Bhubaneswar. To provide a safe environment to the people, the police have tightened blocking and checking as per the instructions of the DG Police.
