Motorola has started rolling the Android 17 update across its Smartphone portfolio, starting with its signature devices. The fresh update brings lots of feature upgrades and customizations that will give a high to the Moto devices. But before rolling to the mass, Motorola is experimenting the update with the class now.
The latest Android 17 update brings a number of personalization tools, interface changes, security features, connectivity upgrades and AI-powered additions to make everyday Smartphone use more intuitive.
Besides, the Quick Settings and Settings options get a redesigned interface, fresh layout, bigger buttons and superior navigation. The Display interface also gets a revamped look with updated home-screen and personalization experience and enhanced HDR brightness controls. In the new interface, the magnification and navigation options becomes more prominent and clearer.
The new version also brings improvements in connectivity patterns. While Instant Hotspot makes internet sharing easy, Nearby Studio Streams adds new functionality for connected devices. Android 17 further adds the device diagnostics feature which allows users to check the health status and access information of their devices.
The most important part of the update will be security upgrades that include Failed Authentication Lock, Changes to PIN protection and other privacy and security controls. And there is an AI angle using which you can directly translate right from the screen just by circling to Search and without switching to any other application.
The expanded version of Quick Share will allow easy sharing of content with iOS users via a Quick Share scan code. Among others, interactive widgets such as snap scrolling, auto protection for sensitive messages, and scam detection for potentially suspicious messages will play an important role.
While the update is now rolling for the signature portfolio, soon it will be rolled to other eligible devices.
