Murmu to Visit Odisha

President of India is scheduled to visit Odisha from August 3 to August 5, 2026. She is likely to attend several programs slated to be held in the state. In view of the President’s visit, security has been beefed up in several areas across Odisha.

Security has been strengthened mainly in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur. Several traffic restrictions will be enforced during Droupadi Murmu ‘s visit to Odisha. Steos will be ensured to help the President’s convoy move smoothly from airport, railway station and program.

The final schedule is however yet to be fixed. As per the initial plan the President will arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at on August 3. After reaching she is scheduled to rest the Raj Bhawan or Governor Hose. She is then scheduled to travel to Cuttack to attend the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University as the chief guest.

Later on, August 4 she is likely to visit southern Odisha. The President is expected to board a special train from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur and then travel by road to Taptapani in Ganjam district. There she will offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple.

She is then likely to spend the night at the Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur. However, it is worth mentioning here that this is a draft schedule. The final schedule is yet to be received. Detailed reports awaited.
