Rainfall in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Rainfall in Odisha expected till August 25 and  fishermen are advised not to venture into sea. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bhubaneswar confirmed the news.

A low-pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood due to this system, Odisha is likely to experience rainfall activity over the next two to three days.

The IMD further informed that widespread rainfall is expected tomorrow and expected to continue till August 25. Widespread rain will continue for three days and rainfall activity will reduce on August 26.

Later isolated heavy rainfall in Odisha will return on August 28. A  warning has been issued for fishermen. The warning advises them not to venture into the sea along the Odisha coast on August 23 and 24.

The IMD further added that, the sea conditions are expected to be rough to very rough, accompanied by squally weather with wind speeds reaching 40–50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph.
