Independence Day celebration in Bhubaneswar

Independence Day celebration in Bhubaneswar was done with much pomp and show. The grandeur was worth it as India celebrated its 80th Independence Day. The celebration was held at Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar amidst heavy security cover. Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi hoisted the tricolour and addressed the august gathering.

The Chief Minister at the start of the Independence Day celebration in Bhubaneswar received the guard of honour. Reports say that this year, 23 platoon forces and a total of 50 troops from the state and outside the state have participated in the celebration. Entire Bhubaneswar has been kept under tight security for the 80th Independence Day. It is worth mentioning that, security has especially been strengthened on Gandhi Marg. CCTV cameras have been installed at various places and movements are being monitored. All the roads connecting to Gandhi Marg have been blocked.

Along with the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary and the DG of Police were present on the occasion. Furthermore, anti-drone patrolling, CCTV surveillance and anti-terrorist squad have been deployed.

Every item is being checked thoroughly by security personnel and passed through metal detectors. Pass holders are being allowed to enter the parade ground after proper checking.

Further, no vehicles was allowed to pass through the parade ground. People coming to watch the parade parked at designated places. Emphasis had been placed on ensuring that there is no suspicious activity.
