The mass resignation in Ravenshaw University had become a topic of debate in entire Odisha. The loggerhead continued over a long period of time. However, the matter was solved by the termination of the Chief Warden.
Reports say that, Professor Purnendu Padhi has been appointed as the new Chief Warden in place of Chief Warden Professor Sudarshan Mishra. Furthermore, two deputy chief wardens have also been replaced and most of the wardens have been swapped.
It is worth mentioning here that, the letter of the mass resignation was tendered by the wardens and the assistant wardens. It was handed over to the Vice Chancellor of the University.
The mass resignation in Ravenshaw was tendered following allegations of misbehaviour by the Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Sethi. It has been alleged by the staff that the MLA misbehaved with the chief warden. This happened during a meeting held in the University premises.
It is worth mentioning here that, the decision of tendering resignation had been supported by the Ravenshaw University Teachers Association (RUTA).
