The inaugural session of the seventh ‘Odisha Travel Bazaar’ was held in Bhubaneswar today. Ace Indian cricketer Kapil Dev and celebrity chef Ranveer Brar met Odisha CM during inauguration of Odisha Travel Bazaar in Bhubaneswar.
An interactive discussion took place the CM and the former captain of the Indian cricket team and legendary cricketer Kapil Dev as well as renowned celebrity chef and brand ambassador for Odia cuisine, Ranveer Brar.
The presence of both distinguished personalities at this event further boosted the state’s tourism and hospitality industry on the global stage, the Odisha CM mentioned on his X handle.
While inaugurating the seventh ‘Odisha Travel Bazaar’ held in Bhubaneswar, CM informed all distinguished guests, investors, and representatives of the tourism industry from across the country and abroad about Odisha’s vast tourism potential and the limitless opportunities for industrial investment.
With its 575-kilometer scenic coastline, heritage, sculpture, and rich culture, Odisha has carved out a unique identity on the global tourism map. In alignment with the vision of ‘Vikashit Odisha,’ our goal is to position tourism as a key pillar of the state’s economic progress and job creation, the CM added.
To foster world-class infrastructure in the state and accelerate investment, the ‘Odisha Tourism (Amendment) Policy, 2026’ and its dedicated portal have been launched.
Regulations for the hotel industry have been eased, capital subsidy limits have been enhanced, and a dedicated ‘Land Bank’ has also being established.
Along with this, for the safety and convenience of guests, ‘Tourist Police,’ ‘Destination Managers’ are being deployed at 29 major sites, and 1,000 ‘Lifeguards’ along the beaches. “Inviting everyone to join this journey of development rooted in the tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava,’” the CM informed.
