Official listing ceremony of the NSE shares at BSE was held in Mumbai of Maharashtra. Reports said that, National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) made a subdued stock market debut on Thursday.
National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) is India’s largest stock exchange and one of the world’s leading multi-asset exchange platforms.
NSE provides a vertically integrated ecosystem comprising trading, clearing, settlement, listing, market data, index services, and regulatory oversight across multiple asset classes, including equities, derivatives, currency derivatives, commodities, debt securities, and mutual funds. The Public issue was of INR 22,562 cr.
The NSE shares at BSE started listing at Rs 1,800. This was a premium of just 0.84 percent over its issue price of Rs 1,785. Later however it gained ground in subsequent trading rounds.
At the official Listing ceremony of the NSE shares at BSE, NSE Chairperson Srinivas Injeti said, “The day we all have been waiting for has arrived. NSE doesn’t belong just to its shareholders, employees, and directors. It belongs to the entire nation…”
NSE MD and CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan said, “There is perhaps nothing that represents today’s India and its future aspirations better than NSE, a nation that trusts itself, its future and its capabilities. In my mind, NSE is at the heart of India’s financial market system, and the Nifty is its heartbeat…”
