In a tragic incident, there has been a lightning death in Bolangir district of Odisha. A young girl has died in a lightning strike in Titlagarh.
According to reports, the lightning death in Bolangir incident occurred while the victim was working in the farmland. A young woman died on the spot due to lightning and three others were seriously injured.
According to the complaint, around eight women were working in the farmland near Bhatipada village under Titilagarh police station today. At that time, it was raining and the women first took shelter under a tree to protect themselves from the rain.
After some time, the rain stopped and when the women went to the farmland. But, when they were cutting grass there was a sudden lightning strike. As a result, all the women became unconscious. Later when some of the women gained consciousness, a 17-year-old girl had died and three others were critically injured.
All the women started to scream in fear, hearing the commotion the villagers reached the spot and sent the injured to the Titilagarh Hospital.
Since the condition of the three people who were taken to the hospital was critical, they have been shifted to Balangir District Headquarter Hospital (DHH). A detailed probe has been initiated by the police.
