In an important cyclone Arnab update, fishermen have reportedly been stranded in the Aryapalli sea in Ganjam district of Odisha. More than 27 Andhra fishing trawlers are reported to be stranded in the Aryapalli sea.
According to reports, the sea is turbulent due to the effect of a deep depression. The low-pressure area in the sea and the increase in wind speed have created danger for fishermen.
In the cyclone Arnab update, more than 27 fishing trawlers from Andhra Pradesh were stranded in the Aryapalli sea. Due to the turbulent sea, the trawlers had problems returning to the shore. After receiving this news, the Ganjam district administration has taken action. The administration has extended its hand to rescue the stranded fishermen and trawlers safely.
In the meantime, some of the trawlers have been rescued. Efforts are also underway to bring other trawlers safely to the shore. However, it is said that fishermen went into the sea to catch fish as they did not receive proper information about the warning issued to them not to go into the sea.
