Indigo increases charges for several ancillary services including excess baggage, infant travel charges and unaccompanied minor travel assistance and a lot more.

The low-budget airlines Indigo has added to the price of extra services or ancillary services. IndiGo has revised charges for several ancillary services, increasing the amount passengers will have to pay for infant travel, excess baggage and unaccompanied minor assistance.

It has also hiked the rates of priority check-in and boarding, and travel certificates, say reliable reports.

The change includes services passengers can opt for in addition to their base airfare and include higher charges on both domestic and international services.

The hike in charges are as follows:

Infant travel: Rs. 3,000 vs Rs. 2,000

Unaccompanied minor: Rs. 6,000 vs Rs. 5,000

Priority check-in & boarding: Rs. 650 vs Rs. 450

Excess baggage: Rs. 800 per kg vs Rs. 700 per kg

However it is worth mentioning here that, the Company is yet to release any official statement in this regard. Further detailed report and official confirmation from the Airlines is awaited.
