Film style loot in Bhubaneswar reported! Two people from Mumbai have been looted near Vani Vihar Square. Festive season also means the increase in the number of crimes. A loot in Bhubaneswar has shocked everyone. This is a case of stealing money under the guise of offering a ride.
A passenger arriving from Mumbai was robbed in Bhubaneswar. After picking the passenger up from the railway station in an auto-rickshaw, the accused persons robbed them near Vani Vihar.
They threatened the victim with lethal weapons and looted Rs. 21,000. Police have apprehended the gang responsible for the robbery, which involved the use of swords and sharp-edged weapons.
The Saheed Nagar Police arrested two individuals involved in the crime. The auto-rickshaw driver however is still missing. The Saheed Nagar Police had previously arrested two other individuals in connection with the case. According to reports, the passenger arrived at Bhubaneswar station from Mumbai on the night of the September 9, and the auto-rickshaw driver offered him a ride.
However, the driver had conspired with the accused to carry out the robbery. Instead of dropping the victim off at Vani Vihar, the accused took them under the Satsang Vihar bridge and committed robbery at knifepoint.
The victim lodged a complaint at the Saheed Nagar Police Station regarding the incident. The police have apprehended a total of four robbers involved in the case.
