Due to a low pressure area over Bay of Bengal, a rain warning in Odisha has been issued. A low pressure area has been formed in North Bay of Bengal, reports added.
Due to the influence of the active cyclone in North Bay of Bengal and adjacent Bangladesh region, rain is expected.
A clear low pressure area is expected to be been formed in North Bay of Bengal and its adjacent areas by 5:30 am today. Rain will continue in the state due to the influence of the low pressure.
According to the rain warning in Odisha, a red alert warning has been issued for two districts today for heavy rain. The regional Meteorological Department has issued red warning for Kandhamal and Kalahandi districts.
Orange warning has been issued for five districts for heavy to very heavy rain. Yellow alert has been issued for all other districts of the state for heavy rain.
