In a bizarre incident, a Dhenkanal man returns alive days after his family performs his last rites. This incident has been reported from Dhenkanal district in Odisha.
According to reports, this was a case of mistaken identity. The family cremated a severely decomposed body believing it was their son. The man in question has been identified as 29-year-old son, Sanatan Naik. He had reportedly gone missing since July 27. Following which his family had lodged a complaint with the local police.
Later, the police found a decomposed body in the fields nearby and informed the family. The family reached the spot and identified the highly decomposed body as their sons’ from the clothes.
After the family identified the body they performed the last rites. However, almost a month later, police informed the family that Naik was alive, and his family brought him home. This incident of the Dhenkanal man returns alive has created a buzz in the locality, it is being talked about.
However uncertainty still shrouds the fact as to whose body was cremated by the family that day. The police are yet to identified the deceased. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
