Here is an interesting tale of grit and determination! Meet ‘Bittu Tabahi’ alias Surendra Singh Chaudhary, a student who cleaned river in Madhya Pradesh all alone. This 21-year-old has set an example for many. Seeing the pollution and the waste accumulation in the river, he took it upon himself to clean it.
The has become a social media star and goes by the name of Bittu Tabahi. The Chief Minister has also heaped praises and met the student who cleaned river in Madhya Pradesh. The CM has also shared a video of him meeting the student on his official X handle. He also wrote a lovely message about his experience and praised the youth a lot.
An intimate meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal with Vyavhara’s son Surendra Singh Chaudhary ‘Bittu Tabahi’. With his unwavering determination and resolve, Bittu not only cleaned the Ajnar River but also conveyed a message to society. No large crowd is needed, just one sincere initiative is enough.
Your initiative also strengthens the spirit of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Campaign, whose core objective is the conservation and rejuvenation of water sources through public participation.
I am confident that this resolve of yours, beginning with the Ajnar River, will inspire the youth of the state to protect the water sources in their surroundings. “The entire state takes pride in you,” the CM said.
What Inspired ‘Bittu Tabahi’
The student who cleaned river in Madhya Pradesh that is Surendra Singh Chaudhary said that the stink from the river was the main reason. Further the river was right in the middle of the city of Biaora. Once when he visited a temple besides the river, the stink was so bad that he could not even pray properly. This was the turning point. He took it upon himself to clean the river, no matter what.
So on 26th January he started the mission and later received cooperation from the municipal authorities. His act has become viral on the internet and has been widely praised on all social media handles. Reports say Dutch founder Boyan Slat has offered Bittu a job. He has also reportedly asked Bittu to move to the Netherlands after his river cleaning video went viral.
