In a shocking incident, three people have been arrested, arms and IED seized in Chandigarh. The incident took place on late Sunday evening.
According to reports, the Chandigarh Police have apprehended three persons in connection with a case involving a suspected IED and firearm.
It has been further reported that an FIR has been registered at Police Station 36, Chandigarh with regard to the IED seized in Chandigarh. A suspected IED and other material have been recovered from the apprehended persons.
The police has added that there is no need for panic. Chandigarh Police is maintaining due vigilance and taking all necessary and preventive measures to ensure public safety.
Further investigation is underway in this regard, the Chandigarh police added.
