There has been two snakebite deaths in Nuapada district of Odisha on Saturday. A man and his nephew have succumbed and a labourer is said to be critical.
According to reports, all the three were labourers and belonged to the same village. The incident of the snake bite deaths in Nuapada took place when the labourers were sleeping in tents after work.
It has been reported that the man and his nephew and the other person were among the labourers. A snake slithered in and bit three of them.
They were immediately rushed to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) but the man and his nephew breathed their last while being treated. Another labourer who was critical has been shifted to Burla Medical College and Hospital. He is undergoing treatment but is still critical.
With the news of the two snakebite deaths of the man and his nephew, the family is in a state of shock. Further details awaited in this regard.
